This document is applicable to OceanStor 2600 V3, 5300 V3, 5500 V3, 5600 V3, 5800 V3, 6800 V3, 18500 V3, and 18800 V3. This document describes the implementation principles and application scenarios of the SmartPartition feature. Also, it explains how to configure and manage SmartPartition.

Removing a File System

Removing a File System

This operation enables you to remove unnecessary file systems to reclaim the storage resources.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartPartition.
  3. Go to the Remove File System dialog box.

    1. In the upper part of the left function pane, select the SmartPartition you want to remove a file system from.
    2. Click More > Remove File System.

      The Remove File System dialog box is displayed.

    NOTE:

    You can also right-click and choose Remove File System.

  4. Select the file system you want to remove.

    From the Available File Systems list, select the file system you want to remove and click the right arrow to move it to the Selected File Systems list.

  5. Confirm the file system removal.

    1. Click OK.

      The Warning dialog box is displayed.

    2. Carefully read the content in the dialog box. Then select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation for confirmation.
    3. Click OK.

      The Execution Result message box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

    4. Click Close.
