This document is applicable to OceanStor 2600 V3, 5300 V3, 5500 V3, 5600 V3, 5800 V3, 6800 V3, 18500 V3, and 18800 V3. This document describes the implementation principles and application scenarios of the SmartPartition feature. Also, it explains how to configure and manage SmartPartition.

Adding a File System

Adding a File System

This operation enables you to add a file system to a SmartPartition to set control goals for the applications running on the file system.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartPartition.
  3. Go to the Add File System dialog box.

    1. In the upper part of the left function pane, select the SmartPartition to which you want to add a file system.
    2. Click More > Add File System

      The Add File System dialog box is displayed.


    You can also right-click and choose Add File System.

  4. Select the file system you want to add.

    From the Available File Systems, select the file system you want to add and click the right arrow to move it to the Selected File Systems list.

  5. Confirm the adding of the file system.

    1. Click OK.

      The Warning dialog box is displayed.

    2. Carefully read the content in the dialog box. Then select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation for confirmation.
    3. Click OK.

      The Execution Result message box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

    4. Click Close.
