Impact on the System

The storage array reliability decreases. The system upgrade or some faults may interrupt services.

Possible Causes

  • The host is not redundantly connected to the storage array.
  • LUN mappings are incorrectly configured.
  • Disk scan is not performed on the host after LUN mappings are added, causing the failure to discover some or all disks.


  1. Check whether the host is connected only to one controller.

    1. If yes, connect the host to multiple controllers. If the alarm persists=> Step2.
    2. If no=> Step2.

  2. Check whether initiators configured for the host are consistent with the actual condition.

    1. If yes=> Step3.
    2. If no, add all initiators to the host based on the actual condition. If the alarm persists=> Step3.

  3. Scan for disks on the host and confirm that the number of detected disks is correct. If the alarm persists=> Step4.
  4. Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
