Impact on the System

Storage devices cannot be managed or maintained through a disconnected management network port.

Possible Causes

  • The management network cable is removed or damaged.
  • The network cable at the peer end is removed.
  • The interface module where the network port or its peer port resides is faulty.


  1. Check the cable connection to the management network port.

    1. If the cable to the management network port is removed, reinsert the cable. If the alarm persists=> 1.2.
    2. If the cable to the management network port is damaged, replace the cable. If the alarm persists=> Step2.

  2. Check whether the network cable at the peer end is removed. If the management network cable is removed, insert it. If the alarm persists=> Step3.
  3. Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
