Impact on the System

Only one storage array can provide services, reducing system reliability.

Possible Causes

  • Links are unstable.
  • The storage pool for the LUN is full.
  • Some or all of the pairs in a HyperMetro consistency group are faulty.
  • The disk domain is faulty.


  1. Check whether cables are connected correctly.

    1. If yes=> Step2.
    2. If no, replace the Fibre Channel cables or network cables on the faulty link to ensure that all links work correctly. If the alarm persists=> Step2.

  2. Check whether alarms are generated on the local LUN, remote LUN, or the storage pools where they reside.

    1. If yes, handle the alarms by taking recommended actions. If the alarm persists=> Step3.
    2. If no=> Step3.

  3. Check whether members of HyperMetro consistency groups are faulty.

    1. If yes, handle the alarms by taking recommended actions. If the alarm persists=> Step4.
    2. If no=> Step4.

  4. Check whether an alarm indicating the disk domain fault is generated.

    1. If yes, handle the alarm with recommended actions. If the alarm persists=> Step5.
    2. If no=> Step5.

  5. Collect all related information and contact technical support engineers.
