Possible Causes

In the MSTP process, the edge port received BPDUs, and BPDU protection was enabled globally.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the interface should be specified as an edge port.

    • If so, go to Step 2.

    • If not, go to Step 3.

  2. Locate the source of the BPDUs on the interface and check whether the malicious attack exists.

    • If so, go to Step 4.

    • If not, go to Step 3.

  3. Run the undo stp root-protection and undo shutdown commands in the interface view to delete the configuration of the edge port and restart the interface. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 5.

    • If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 4.

  4. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
