Description

VCMP/4/VCMP_COLLISION_REVISION:OID [oid] A server received a VCMP packet with a higher revision number. (VcmpDeviceMac=[OPAQUE])

After a VCMP client sent a VCMP request packet to the VCMP server due to a restart or a configuration change, the 16 left-most bits in the configuration revision number in a received VCMP packet were the same as that of the local revision number, and the 16 right-most bits were greater than the local ones.

Impact on the System

Possible Causes

Procedure

  1. Run the display current-configuration command on each VCMP client and the VCMP server to obtain the configurations that take effect. Compare the configurations on the VCMP clients with those on the VCMP server and check whether VLAN information is missing on the VCMP server.

    • If VLAN information is missing on the VCMP server, go to step 2.

    • If no VLAN information is missing on the VCMP server, go to step 3.

  2. Reconfigure the VLAN on the VCMP server. Check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is cleared, no further action is required.

    • If the alarm persists, go to step 3.

  3. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
