Test Submenu

If the current basic BootROM, extended BootROM, and CPLD programs do not match the system software, a device fault such as upgrade failure or function unavailability may occur. In such a scenario, you need to upgrade the basic BootROM, extended BootROM, and CPLD independently.

Select 7 in the BootROM main menu to enter the test submenu.

1. Upgrade small BootROM from ethernet

Updates basic BootROM programs through an Ethernet interface. Before performing this operation, set Ethernet interface parameters according to the "5. Modify ethernet interface parameter" in Ethernet Submenu.

2. Upgrade main BootROM from ethernet

Updates extended BootROM programs through an Ethernet interface. Before performing this operation, set Ethernet interface parameters according to the "5. Modify ethernet interface parameter" in Ethernet Submenu.

NOTE:

If the specified program is in V200R005 or earlier versions (excluding V200R005C02), restore the default BootROM password and then upgrade the system software.

3. Upgrade CPLD logic from flash

Updates the CPLD using the update file in the flash memory.

The CPLD program file is saved in the flash memory before delivery. When the CPLD is faulty, perform this operation to restore to factory settings and update the CPLD if other methods cannot be used.

4. Disable auto upgrade small BootROM

Disables the automatic upgrade function for basic BootROM programs.

The system software integrates update files for basic BootROM programs. By default, the device automatically updates its basic BootROM programs before it restarts when you update the system software. If the automatic upgrade function for basic BootROM programs is disabled, the device does not update its basic BootROM programs when you update the system software.

5. Disable auto upgrade main BootROM

Disables the automatic upgrade function for extended BootROM (BootLoad) programs.

The system software integrates update files for extended BootROM programs. By default, the device automatically updates its extended BootROM programs before it restarts when you update the system software. If the automatic upgrade function for extended BootROM programs is disabled, the device does not update its extended BootROM programs when you update the system software.

6. Disable auto upgrade CPLD

Disables the CPLD automatic upgrade function.

By default, the device automatically updates the CPLD when you update the system software. If the CPLD automatic upgrade function is disabled, the device does not update the CPLD when you update the system software.

7. Return to main menu
