Configuring Static BFD for IPv4 Static Routes
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before configuring static BFD for IPv4 static routes, complete the following tasks:
Configure link layer parameters and IP addresses for interfaces to ensure network-layer communication between neighbor nodes.
Configure a BFD session.
For details, see BFD Configuration in the S7700 and S9700 V200R010C00 Configuration Guide - Reliability.
Procedure
- Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run:
ip route-static ip-address { mask | mask-length } { nexthop-address | interface-type interface-number [ nexthop-address ] } [ preference preference | tag tag ] * track bfd-session cfg-name [ description text ]
An IPv4 static route on a public network is associated with a BFD session.
NOTE:
Before associating a static route with a BFD session, ensure that the BFD session and static route are on the same link.
When a BFD session is associated with VRRP or a static route, by default, the system does not allow the associated BFD session to be deleted. To delete the associated BFD session, run the bfd session nonexistent-config-check disable command to prevent the device from checking whether the associated BFD session is deleted. Note that deleting the BFD session will prevent the configured association function from being implemented.
