Monitoring Layer 3 Multicast CAC Operation
Context
In routine maintenance, you can run the following commands in any view to check whether Layer 3 multicast CAC is functioning properly.
Procedure
- Run the display multicast [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ] limit [ channel channel-name ] out-interface { interface-type interface-number | all } command to check the Layer 3 multicast CAC configuration and statistics on an interface.
- Run the display multicast [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ] limit [ channel channel-name ] global command to check the global Layer 3 multicast CAC configuration and statistics.
- Run the display pim [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ] routing-table channel channel-name command to check (*, G) and (S, G) entries of a channel.
