CFM/4/B2S_BACKUP_FAILED
Message
CFM/4/B2S_BACKUP_FAILED:Failed to transfer the configuration file to server [server-ip] through [transport-type] when automatically backing up the configuration.
Description
Failed to transfer the configuration data to the server when backing up the configuration file to the server.
Parameters
Parameter Name | Parameter Meaning |
---|---|
[server-ip] | Indicates the IP address of the server. |
[transport-type] | Indicates the file transfer mode, such as FTP, TFTP, or SFTP. |
Possible Causes
The password was incorrect.
The user name was inexistent or the path to the server was inexistent.
The server was unreachable during the transfer of the configuration file due to a network fault.
Procedure
- Run the ping command on the device to ping the server to check whether the server is reachable.
- Set the device as a client to access the server.
- Re-configure the path to the server if it is incorrect.
- If the configuration file fails to be transferred only once, it is probably caused by the network status of the time, and no action is required.
If the configuration file fails to be transferred repeatedly, check the link connecting the device to the server.
