Setting CFM Parameters

Setting CFM Parameters

By adjusting Ethernet CFM parameters, you can better implement end-to-end connectivity fault detection on the Ethernet.

Procedure

  • Setting the RMEP activation time

    1. Run:

      system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run:

      cfm md md-name

      The MD view is displayed.

    3. Run:

      ma ma-name

      The MA view is displayed.

    4. Run:

      active time time

      The RMEP activation time is configured.

      NOTE:

      IEEE 802.1ag has two versions: IEEE 802.1ag Draft 7 and IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007. This command can be used only on the device running IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007. Before setting the RMEP activation time, you must use the cfm version command to set the Ethernet CFM version to IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007.

  • Setting the anti-jitter time during alarm restoration

    1. Run:

      system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run:

      cfm md md-name

      The MD view is displayed.

    3. Run:

      ma ma-name

      The MA view is displayed.

    4. Run:

      alarm finish time time

      The anti-jitter time during alarm restoration is configured.

      NOTE:

      IEEE 802.1ag has two versions: IEEE 802.1ag Draft 7 and IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007. This command can be used only on the device running IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007. Before setting the anti-jitter time during alarm restoration, you must use the cfm version command to set the Ethernet CFM version to IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007.

    1. Run:

      system-view

    2. Run:

      alarm occur time time

      The anti-jitter time during alarm generation is configured.

      NOTE:
