Possible Causes

Procedure

  1. Run the display trunk configuration command to check whether the configured number of trunk-member is greater than 8.

    • If the configured number of trunk-member is greater than 8, go to step 2.

    • If the configured number of trunk-member is not greater than 8, go to step 4.

  2. Check the card in the alarm and check whether the card supports Eth-Trunk specification extensions.

    • If the card does not support Eth-Trunk specification extensions, go to step 3.

    • If the card supports Eth-Trunk specification extensions, go to step 4.

    NOTE:

Cards are classified into cards with and without Eth-Trunk specification extension. Cards with Eth-Trunk specification extension are as follows:

  3. Run the display trunk resource command to check whether the configured number of Eth-Trunk member interfaces is greater than 8.

    • If the configured number of Eth-Trunk member interfaces is greater than 8, go to step 4.

    • If the configured number of Eth-Trunk member interfaces is not greater than 8 and the subsequently configured number of Eth-Trunk member interfaces is not greater than 8, no action is required.
