Impact on the System

The standby MPU does not work, which may affect services in the switch.

Possible Causes

The active or standby MPU has a subcard installed, but the other MPU does not. This type of MPUs used in the cluster detects states of CSS subcards before registration. In the cluster member switch, the active or standby MPU has a CSS subcard installed, but the other MPU does not. Therefore, this alarm is generated.

  • Ensure the same subcard state on the two MPUs. For example, install a subcard in the MPU with a vacant subcard slot.
