Parameters
Name | Meaning |
---|---|
OID |
Indicates the MIB object ID of the alarm. |
ChannelName |
Indicates the channel name. |
VsiName |
Indicates the VSI name. |
ConfiguredValue |
Indicates the configured limit on the number of multicast groups. |
CurrentMulticastGroup |
Indicates the multicast group address. |
Impact on the System
Multicast data cannot be forwarded to new multicast groups and users cannot join new multicast groups, but this is a result of normal configuration.
Possible Causes
Users in the VSI attempt to join new multicast groups in the channel after the number of multicast groups in the channel of the VSI reaches or exceeds the configured limit.
Procedure
- Run the display l2-multicast
limit configuration vsi [ vsi-name ] command to check
whether the limit on the number of multicast groups configured for
the channel of the VSI is too small.
If so, go to step 2.
If not, go to step 3.
- Increase the limit on the number of multicast groups in
the channel of the VSI to an appropriate value based on application
requirements, and then check whether the alarm persists.
If so, go to step 3.
If not, no further action is required.
- Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
