This alarm is generated when a physical entity, such as a board, power module, or fan, is installed.

Name Meaning
[oid] Indicates the ID of the MIB object.
Index Indicates the index of the entity, such as the board, power module, fan, or subcard.
Severity Indicates the severity level of the alarm.
ProbableCause Indicates the possible causes of the alarm. The codes of the possible causes are as follows:

1024: IANAITUPROBABLECAUSE_OTHER indicates that the causes are unknown.

EventType Indicates the alarm type. Alarms are classified into the following types:
  • communicationsAlarm (2)
  • qualityOfServiceAlarm (3)
  • processingErrorAlarm (4)
  • equipmentAlarm (5)
  • environmentalAlarm (6)

This alarm is an alarm of the equipmentAlarm type, that is, the alarm on device errors.

ContainedIn Indicates the parent index of the entity where the alarm is generated.

1. If the entity is a board, fan, or power module, the parent index is the index of the slot where the board, fan, or power module is located.

2. If the entity is a subcard, the parent index is the index of the slot where the subcard is located on the board.
