Description

IFPDT/4/NOSUPPORT_OEPORT:OID [oid] The 1000base-T optical/electrical module or optical module cannot be installed on the port when the port is used as a CSS port. (EntityPhysicalIndex=[INTEGER], EntityIfIndex=[INTEGER], EntPhysicalName=[OCTET], hwEntityTrapFaultID=[INTEGER]).

A copper module or GE optical module cannot be used on a CSS port.

Possible Causes

The port has been configured as a CSS port and cannot have any copper module or GE optical module installed.

Procedure

  • Replace the copper module or GE optical module with a 10GE or 40GE optical module that can be used on the CSS port.
  • If the CSS port is not required, delete the CSS port configuration to restore the port to a common service port. Then the copper module or GE optical module can be used on the port.
  • If the problem persists, contact technical support personnel.
