MRM/6/CAC_OIF_TOTAL:In VPN instance "[vpn-instance-name]", because the number or bandwidth of PIM route entries which use the interface [interface-name] as OIF reached the total limit on this interface, PIM discarded the received Join message ([source-address], [group-address]). The current statistical number of these PIM routing entries is [statistical-number], the statistical bandwidth is [statistical-bandwidth]. (FlCode=[STRING][ULONG])

The total of PIM entries, existing and newly added, exceeded the total limit configured on the outgoing interface, and thus the received Join message that recorded the newly added PIM entry was discarded.

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
[vpn-instance-name] Indicates the name of a VPN instance.
[interface-name] Indicates the interface name.
[source-address] Indicates the source address.
[group-address] Indicates the group address.
[statistical-number] Indicates the statistics of PIM entries.
[statistical-bandwidth] Indicates the statistics of bandwidth.
FlCode Indicates the name of the source code file and the line number of this log message.

Possible Causes

In the case that the total limit was set on the outgoing interface, the number of PIM entries or the statistics of bandwidth reached the limit.

  • If services are not affected, no action is required.
  • If services are affected, run the multicast limit out max-entry limit command in the interface view to increase the maximum number of PIM entries with the current interface as the outbound interface.
  • If increasing the maximum number is not allowed due to the system processing capability limit, Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
