Possible Causes

The device receives a host's request to join a group after the number of existing groups has reached the upper limit configured for Layer 2 multicast CAC.

Procedure

  1. Run the display l2-multicast limit command to check the Layer 2 multicast CAC configuration and statistics.
  2. If the Layer 2 multicast CAC configuration is correct, run any of the following commands to increase the Layer 2 CAC limit:

    • Run the l2-multicast limit max-entry count [ vlan { vlan-id1 [ to vlan-id2 ] } &<1-10> ] [ except acl-number ] command in the system view to set a global or VLAN-based limit on the number of group entries.
    • Run the l2-multicast limit channel channel-name max-entry count [ vlan { vlan-id1 [ to vlan-id2 ] } &<1-10> ] command in the system view to set a global or VLAN-based limit on the number of group entries in a channel.
    • Run the l2-multicast limit max-entry count [ vlan { vlan-id1 [ to vlan-id2 ] } &<1-10> ] [ except acl-number ] command in the interface view to set a limit on the number of group entries on the interface or in specified VLANs on the interface.
    • Run the l2-multicast limit channel channel-name max-entry count [ vlan { vlan-id1 [ to vlan-id2 ] } &<1-10> ] command in the interface view to set a limit on the number of group entries in a channel on the interface or in specified VLANs on the interface.
