A user that logged in to the device using STelnet failed to change the password.

FailedReason Reason for the password change failure

Possible Causes

Changing the password failed.


  • Use the correct old password and specify a valid new password to complete the change without exceeding the maximum number of change attempts (3).
  • If the maximum number of password change attempts has been reached, log out and log in to the device again using STelnet. Then complete the password change without exceeding the maximum number of change attempts (3).
