ARP/4/ARP_DUPLICATE_IPADDR:Received an ARP packet with a duplicate IP address from the interface. (IpAddress=[IPADDR], InterfaceName=[STRING], MacAddress=[STRING])


Received an ARP packet with a conflictive IP address from the interface.


Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
IpAddress Indicates the conflicting IP addresses.
InterfaceName Indicates the name of an interface.
MacAddress Indicates a MAC address.

Possible Causes

The source IP address of the ARP packet was the same as the IP address of the interface that received the ARP packet. Or the device receives a probe ARP packet. The source IP address is, the destination IP address is the same as the IP address of the inbound interface that receives the packet, but the source MAC address is different than the MAC address of the inbound interface.


  1. Check whether another interface in the network is configured with the same IP address.
  2. Check whether the interface was attacked.
