Description

An IGMPv1 enabled interface receives an IGMP query message with a higher version.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
[LONG] Indicates the version of the received IGMP query message.
[STRING] Indicates the name of the interface that has received the IGMP query message.

Possible Causes

An IGMPv1 enabled interface receives an IGMP query message with a higher version.

Procedure

  1. Check the IGMP version on the interface.

    • If the switch needs to process IGMP messages of version 2, run the igmp-snooping version version command to set the IGMP snooping version to 2.
    • If the switch needs to process IGMP messages of version 3, run the igmp-snooping version version command to set the IGMP snooping version to 3.
