Configuring the Topology Change Notification Function
The topology change notification function is configured on the device that connects a lower-layer network to an upper-layer network. This function enables the device to notify the peer device of topology changes in the lower-layer and upper-layer networks. All the devices on the network where the peer device resides then delete original MAC addresses and ARP entries and learn new MAC addresses to ensure uninterrupted traffic forwarding.
