Only the E series, X series, and SC series cards support Ethernet sub-interfaces.

S12710

  • Ethernet sub-interfaces/Eth-Trunk/Tunnel interfaces/VLANIF interfaces/Loopback interfaces/Null interfaces:

    V200R010C00, V200R011C10

  • NVE interfaces/VBDIF interfaces/VE interfaces:

    V200R011C10

NOTE:

Only the E series, X series, and SC series cards support Ethernet sub-interfaces.

NOTE:
To know details about software mappings, see Hardware Query Tool.

Feature Limitations

  • For Layer 2 interfaces, only hybrid and trunk interfaces support Ethernet sub-interface configuration. After a Layer 2 interface is switched to a Layer 3 interface using the undo portswitch command, the interface supports Layer 3 Ethernet sub-interface configuration.
  • After an interface is added to an Eth-Trunk, you can only configure sub-interfaces on the Eth-Trunk, but not on the interface.
