Configuring a Centralized AC

Context

The centralized AC addresses AP and AC networking restrictions. APs can connect to the AC through non-X series interface cards in a WLAN work group. You can add a master X series interface card, a slave X series interface card, and several non-X series interface cards to a WLAN work group.

Before deleting a WLAN work group, or modifying or deleting a master interface card, or modifying a slave X series interface card, perform the following steps to configure online STAs and APs in the WLAN work group to go offline first: run the state block command to set the WLAN work group in block state so that new STAs and APs cannot go online. After that, run the ap-reset work-group and cut access-user work-group commands to force the STAs and APs offline.

If a WLAN work group is not in Normal state, STAs cannot go online on the work group, or roam to the group. You can run the display wlan work-group command to view the work group status.

Procedure

  1. Run:

    system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run:

    wlan

    The WLAN view is displayed.

  3. Run:

    wlan work-group { group-id | default }

    A WLAN work group is created and the WLAN work group view is displayed, or the view of an existing WLAN work group is displayed.‎‎

    By default, a default WLAN work group exists and cannot be deleted.

  4. Run:

    master-slot master-slot-id [ slave-slot slave-slot-id ]

    Master and slave X series interface cards are configured in the WLAN work group.

    By default, no master or slave X series interface card is configured in a WLAN work group.

  5. (Optional) Run:

    slave-slot slave-slot-id

    A slave X series interface card is configured in the WLAN work group.

    By default, no slave X series interface card is configured in a WLAN work group.

  6. Run:

    service-slot { service-slot-id [ to service-slot-id2 ] } &<1-10>

    A non-X series interface card is configured in the WLAN work group.

    By default, no non-X series interface card is configured in a WLAN work group.

Checking the Configuration

  • Run the display wlan work-group [ group-id | default ] command to check information about the WLAN work group.
  • Run the display access-user work-group { work-group-id | default } command to check online STAs in the WLAN work group.
