ALM-0x32000003 Communication Failure Between Expander Controller and RAID Controller Card (Expander, Major Alarm)
Description
Alarm message:
Communication between arg1 and arg2 (arg3arg4) failed.
This alarm is generated when the expander controller fails to communicate with the RAID controller card.
Expander controllers of different servers are located on different components, such as drive backplanes, mainboards, and GPU boards. For details, see the user manual of each server.

Possible Causes
- The cable is not correctly or firmly connected, or is faulty.

Procedure
- Reconnect the cable between the RAID controller card and the component where the expander controller is located, and check whether the alarm is cleared.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to 2.
- Replace the cable, and check whether the alarm is cleared.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to 3.
- Replace the component where the expander controller is located, and check whether the alarm is cleared.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to 4.
- Replace the RAID controller card related to the alarm, and check whether the alarm is cleared.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to 5.
- Contact technical support engineer.
