Logging In to the Key Management Server Management Interface Through the Serial Port

This section describes how to log in to the key management server through the serial port.

Prerequisites
  • The maintenance terminal has been connected to the key management server through the serial port.
  • The maintenance terminal has serial ports that are not in use.
  • The serial port supports logins only from administrators and security officers.
  • SSH-capable management software has been installed on the maintenance terminal.
Context

The following procedure uses PuTTY as an example. You can download PuTTY from chiark website.

Procedure
  1. Run PuTTY.
  2. Go to the command-line interface (CLI).

    1. Choose Connection > Serial.

      Go to the serial port setting page, as shown in Figure 3-75.

    2. Set Serial line to connect to to the maintenance terminal serial port connected to the key management server, and set Speed (baud) to 38400.
    3. Click Open. The CLI window is displayed asking you to log in.

  3. Type the user name and password and press Enter.

    NOTE:
    • For administrators, the default user name and password are admin and password123 respectively.
    • For security officers, the default user name and password are officer and password123 respectively.

  4. Confirm the login.

    • For the initial login, perform the following steps:
      1. In the License agreement dialog box that is displayed, press Ctrl+X.

        The Confirm dialog box is displayed.

      2. Select Yes and press Enter.

        The Warning Notice dialog box is displayed.

      3. Press Enter.

        The Change Password dialog box is displayed.

      4. Enter Old Password and New Password, and confirm the new password. Click OK and press Enter.

        The main page of the key management server management interface is displayed.

    • If it is not your initial login, click OK on the displayed page and press Enter.

Logging In to the Key Management Server Through the Management Port

This section describes how to log in to the key management server through the management port.

Prerequisites
  • Network configuration of the key management server has been completed using the serial port.
  • The maintenance terminal is communicating properly with the key management server.
Context

The following procedure uses Google Chrome as an example.

Procedure
  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Input https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX in the address box and press Enter. XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX indicates the management port IP address of the key management server.

    The keyAuthority Login page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-76.

  3. Enter the user name and password and click Login.

    The Warning Notice page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-77.

  4. Click Proceed.

    The web management interface is displayed.

    NOTE:

    Different user roles may see different information on the web management interface.
