Power-On
Context
All switches are set to OFF before delivery. If the preset status is changed, restore the preset status before any operation.
Procedure
- Turn on the indoor fan circuit breaker.
- Turn on the upstream power input switch of the smart cooling product. The display module of the smart cooling product automatically lights up.
- Turn on the switch QF3 that controls the outdoor unit and compressor, and switch QF4 that controls the electric heater. (If the electric heater is not configured, there is no need to turn on QF4.)
- After the system is powered on for the first time, the Quick Settings screen is displayed. Log in as the admin user, as shown in Figure 4-5.

- User operator can access customer and delivery parameters. The parameters on the Advanced menu are delivery parameters. User admin can access customer, delivery, maintenance, and R&D parameters. The parameters on the Advanced menu are R&D parameters.
- To prevent the effect of misoperations on the system, log in as user operator before modifying parameters. Confirm with Huawei technical support before modifying parameters which cannot be modified by user operator. Otherwise, Huawei will not be liable for any consequences of the modification performed by the user.
- Only certified professionals are allowed to modify the advanced parameters. Unauthorized modifications may lead to device malfunction or damage.
- After the first login, change the password in time to ensure account security and prevent unauthorized network attacks, such as data tampering. Huawei will not be liable for any security issues caused by your failure to change the preset password in time or password loss after changing.
- After login, your permission will become invalid automatically if no operation is performed for 3 minutes (configurable). For security purposes, tap
at the lower-right corner of the screen to manually log out after you have completed all operations.
- Figure 4-6 shows how to configure relevant parameters. Click Next until the LCD home screen is displayed after the configuration.

Smart diagnosis function
Specifies whether to enable the refrigerant leakage detection function. You are advised to set this parameter to Enable. This function is available only when the outdoor unit is NetCol500-A0365C11E0, communicates with the indoor unit through RS485, and does not contain a low-temperature component.
Disable
Temperature and humidity control type
- When the application scenario is cold or hot aisle containment, you are advised to choose Cold aisle if the cold aisle T/H sensors are configured, and choose Supply air if the cold aisle T/H sensors are not configured. (Smart module scenario)
- When the application scenario is non-aisle containment, you are advised to choose Return air, and choose Cold aisle if the cold aisle T/H sensors are configured.
- Hot aisle is not recommended.
Return air
Heating function
If Enable is selected, the electric heater can be started when the ambient temperature is lower than the temperature setpoint by a certain range. If Disable is selected, the heating function is disabled. If Enabled when active power is selected, the electric heater can be started only when the active power supply is used and the ambient temperature is lower than the temperature setpoint by a certain range.
Enable
Heating mode
If Dehumidifying heating is selected, the electric heater starts heating based on the current temperature only after the dehumidification function is enabled. If Low-temp heating is selected, the electric heater starts heating based only on the current temperature, no matter the dehumidification function is enabled or not. If Dehumid & low-temp heat is selected, the electric heater starts heating when the dehumidification and heating condition or the low temperature heating condition is met.
Dehumidifying heating
Humidifying function
If Enable is selected, the device starts humidifying when the ambient humidity is lower than the humidity setpoint by a certain range. If Disable is selected, the humidifying function is disabled. If Enabled when active power is selected, the device starts humidifying when the ambient humidity is lower than the humidity setpoint by a certain range and when the active power supply is used.
Enable
Dehumidifying function
If Enable is selected, the device starts dehumidification when the ambient humidity is higher than the preset humidity threshold by a certain range. If Disable is selected, the dehumidification function is disabled. If Enabled when active power is selected, the device starts dehumidification when the ambient humidity is higher than the preset humidity threshold by a certain range and when the active power supply is supplied.

DO association
- Smoke & Water only: When a smoke sensor alarm or water overflow alarm is generated, the common alarm 1 dry contact is closed. Common alarm 2 does not work.
- Critical & Major alarm: When a critical alarm is generated, the common alarm 1 dry contact is closed. When a major alarm is generated, the common alarm 2 dry contact is closed.
- Alarm & startup status: When an alarm of any severity is generated, the common alarm 1 dry contact is open. When the smart cooling product is started, the common alarm 2 dry contact is closed. When the smart cooling product shuts down, the common alarm 2 dry contact is open.
- No: The common alarm 1 and 2 dry contacts are open and no alarms are reported.
Smoke&Water only
Outdoor fan control mode
- When the indoor and outdoor units are connected using the RS485 cable, retain Communicate. (Smart module scenario)
- When the indoor and outdoor units are connected using the dry contact cable, set it to Dry contact.

Cooling
The cooling function can be set to Enable or Enabled when active power.
Enable
Cold aisle sensor 1–5
If a temperature and humidity sensor outside the cabinet is installed, set the temperature and humidity sensor in the corresponding position to Enable.
Disable
Hot aisle sensor 1–5

Indoor fan control type
If a micro differential pressure sensor is installed and the pressure difference control is required, set Air-side difference pressure sensor type to 0–50 Pa, and set Indoor fan control type to Pressure diff ctrl. Then the Indoor fan pressure difference setpoint option is displayed. You are advised to retain the default value. If there are partial hotspots onsite, you can raise this value to keep the indoor fan volume within a range of 60%–70%.
If no micro differential pressure sensor is installed or the pressure difference control is not required, retain the default value.

Liquid pipe length
Specifies the total one-way pipe length (L). This parameter is displayed when the smart diagnosis function is set to Enable.
NA
Height difference between indoor and outdoor units
If the outdoor unit is higher than the indoor unit, the height difference is a positive value. If the indoor unit is higher than the outdoor unit, the height difference is a negative value. This parameter is displayed when the smart diagnosis function is set to Enable.
NA
Low-temperature component
Set this parameter based on the actual scenario. This parameter is displayed when the smart diagnosis function is set to Enable.

Follow-up Procedure
After power-on, the compressor starts preheating, and the system generates a compressor preheating alarm. The preheating takes 12 hours. The smart cooling product cannot be started before the compressor preheating is complete. If you tap Start, the screen shown in Figure 4-7 is displayed.
If you need to query the remaining preheating time, choose
on the home screen.
