Replacing a Drive
Prerequisites
- A drive needs to be replaced.
- A spare drive of the same model is available and functional.
- Tools: Phillips screwdriver, diagonal pliers, cable tie
Before checking and maintaining the NetCol5000-A, ensure that the primary power supply to the NetCol5000-A is disconnected and the drive has been placed without primary power supply for 10 minutes. Otherwise, electric shocks may occur.
Procedure
- Tap Shutdown on the home screen of the controller. Turn off the active power switch QF1 and standby power switch QF2 (you do not need to turn on the standby switch QF2 for the model with a single power supply), and drive switch QF3.
Exercise caution because the device is still energized after it is shut down on the controller home screen.
- Open the rear door and remove the air filter.
- Remove all cables from the drive and cut the cable ties using diagonal pliers.Figure 6-23 Removing cables
- Remove the four screws on the drive using a Phillips screwdriver, then press the buckle at the bottom of the drive and pull out the drive, as shown in Figure 6-24.
- Install the new drive.Figure 6-25 Installing a drive
- Connect the new drive cables.Figure 6-26 Connecting cables
- Install the air filter and close the rear door.
- Power on the NetCol5000-A, choose on the home page, start the compressor, and check that the compressor works properly and the NetCol5000-A generates no alarms. Then exit the diagnostic mode.
