Connecting the Drainpipe
Context
The following uses rigid drainpipe routing as an example to describe how to connect drainpipes.
Bottom Pipe Routing
- Remove the drainpipe plug, as shown by (1) in Figure 3-38.
- Install the water pipe conversion adapter and seal it with sealant, as shown by (2) in Figure 3-38.
- Cut a cross in the rubber ring using a utility knife and route the pipe wrapped with the thermal insulation tube through the hole.
Ensure that the rubber ring is not disconnected. If the rubber ring is disconnected or damaged, seal the gaps around the pipes with mastic cement or thermal insulation foam.
- Connect the PPR water pipe using a hot melt gun, as shown by (3) in Figure 3-38.
- Connect the drainpipe to the external drainage system.
The drainpipes must have gradients (> 1:50), and stagnant water is not allowed.
Top Pipe Routing
When routing pipes from the top, do not route the pipes over servers or other devices to protect them from being affected by pipe leaks.
- Remove the drainpipe plug, as shown in Figure 3-39.
- Route the drainpipe from the top by referring to 2–5 of the bottom pipe routing.
