Management Tool
AIX uses the System Management Interface Tools (SMIT) to manage system functions. The SMIT provides users with a menu-based user interface to perform management tasks.
The SMIT is easy-to-use and provides most of AIX system management functions. Figure 2-5 shows the SMIT menu. The menu covers almost all AIX functions.
