Possible Causes

The rate of packets received on the interface exceeded the traffic suppression threshold.

NOTE:
This alarm may be triggered when the device receives the following packets:
  • Packets with a blackhole MAC address as the source or destination MAC address
  • Packets with an invalid source IP address
  • Packets with an interface MAC address as the destination MAC address but without IP headers

Procedure

  1. Check whether a loop or attack occurs on the network.
  2. Set a proper traffic suppression threshold.
  3. Collect the alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
