Impact on the System

If the number of VN_Ports in the same NPV instance exceeds the number of system MAC addresses, MAC address conflicts may occur. If the conflicting ports belong to the same VLAN, services will be affected.

Possible Causes

When the number of VN_Ports of a NPV instance exceeds the number of system MAC addresses, VN_Ports are created continuously on the ENodes.

Procedure

  • Stop creating VN_Ports in the same NPV instance.
  • Run the undo fcoe role vn-port interface fcoe-port fcoe-port-id command to delete unnecessary VN_Ports.
