Clearing Statistics on the Device


Before recollecting the queue-based traffic statistics on an interface or device buffer usage, run the following commands in the user view to clear the existing statistics.

The cleared queue-based traffic statistics or statistics about the device buffer usage cannot be restored. Exercise caution when you run the command.


  • Run the reset qos queue statistics interface interface-type interface-number command to clear queue-based traffic statistics.
  • Run the reset qos buffer-usage [ slot slot-id | interface interface-type interface-number slot slot-id ] command to clear statistics about the buffer usage of the system, a slot, or an interface.
