Configuration Guide - QoS
CloudEngine 12800 and 12800E V200R002C50

This document describes the configurations of QoS functions, including MQC, priority mapping, traffic policing, traffic shaping, interface-based rate limiting, congestion avoidance, congestion management, packet filtering, redirection, traffic statistics, and ACL-based simplified traffic policy.

Application Scenarios for Re-marking

Application Scenarios for Re-marking

Priority re-marking technology re-marks the packets that require a short delay and high service quality with a high priority so that the packets can be preferentially scheduled or forwarded.

As shown in Figure 9-1, on an enterprise network, there are voice and data services. Voice packets need to be preferentially processed.

Figure 9-1 Networking of priority re-marking

Service Deployment

  • Configure a traffic classifier to distinguish data and voice packets.
  • Configure a traffic behavior and set a higher priority for voice packets and a lower priority of data packets.
  • Configure a traffic policy, bind the traffic classifier and traffic behavior, and apply the traffic policy to the inbound direction of the switch so that voice packets are processed preferentially.
