Feature Limitations

  • In versions earlier than V200R002C50, CE series switches can only function as DHCPv6 relay agents. In V200R002C50 and later versions, CE series switches can function as DHCPv6 relay agents and DHCPv6 servers.
  • In a VXLAN scenario, IPsec authentication and encryption cannot be configured on the CE6870EI and CE6875EI as a DHCPv6 relay agent.
  • In versions earlier than V200R002C50, the CE5855EI does not support DHCPv6. However, interfaces on a CE5855EI provide the IPv6 capability when the switch functions as a leaf switch in a super virtual fabric (SVF) system and the SVF forwarding mode is set to centralized or hybrid.
  • When configuring the DHCPv6 server function on an M-LAG, you must configure the function on both member switches in the M-LAG, and IP addresses in the address pools on the two switches cannot overlap.
  • When configuring the DHCPv6 relay function on an M-LAG, you must configure the function on both member switches in the M-LAG.
