Configuring the function to detect IP address conflicts

Context

After the function to detect IP address conflicts is enabled, the device will detect the IP address conflicts by ARP packets. When an IP address conflict occurs between network devices, it causes high CPU usage and route flapping. User services will be affected and even interrupted.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run arp ip-conflict-detect enable

    The function to detect IP address conflicts is enabled.

    By default, the function to detect IP address conflicts is disabled.

  3. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
