(Optional) Configuring the Time for Updating Configuration Parameters Assigned to Clients Through Stateless DHCPv6 Address Autoconfiguration

(Optional) Configuring the Time for Updating Configuration Parameters Assigned to Clients Through Stateless DHCPv6 Address Autoconfiguration

Context

When the DHCPv6 server assigns configuration parameters such as the DNS, NIS, and SNTP server addresses to the DHCPv6 clients through stateless autoconfiguration, you can configure the time for updating these configuration parameters. The clients then obtain the latest configuration parameters from the server at the configured interval.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run dhcpv6 pool pool-name

An IPv6 address pool is created and the IPv6 address pool view is displayed.

By default, no IPv6 address pool is created.

  3. Run information-refresh time

The time for updating configuration parameters assigned to clients through stateless DHCPv6 address autoconfiguration is set.

By default, the time for updating IPv6 address pool configurations is 86400s (1 day).

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
