Enabling the Stack Single-Link Alarm

Enabling the Stack Single-Link Alarm

Context

In a stack set up in chain topology, if a stack port has only one Up link, the stack has low reliability and is more likely to split. By default, a stack sends a single-link alarm to indicate a risk. If you do not focus on this alarm, disable the alarm.

Procedure

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the stack command to enter the stack management view.
  3. Run the stack alarm single-link enable command to enable the stack single-link alarm.

By default, the stack single-link alarm is enabled.

  4. Run the commit command to commit the configuration.
