Configuring the LACP Bonding Mode on the MZ520
For details about port bonding, see NIC team configuration in Configuring Port Bonding for the MZ520. The following lists the configuration on each MZ520:
MZ520 (1):
Configure NIC teaming for Port 0 and Port 1 in LACP mode.
The IP address of the NIC team is 192.168.10.10/24 and belongs to VLAN 10.
MZ520 (2):
Configure NIC teaming for Port 0 and Port 1 in LACP mode.
The IP address of the NIC team is 192.168.20.10/24 and belongs to VLAN 20.
MZ520 (3):
Configure NIC teaming for Port 0 and Port 1 in LACP mode.
The IP address of the NIC team is 192.168.10.30/24 and belongs to VLAN 10.
MZ520 (4):
Configure NIC teaming for Port 0 and Port 1 in LACP mode.
The IP address of the NIC team is 192.168.20.40/24 and belongs to VLAN 20.
Set the bonding mode to LACP, which complies with IEEE802.3ad. In this mode, the mode of the CX320 port connected to the MZ520 must be set to LACP. The two devices at both ends of link aggregation must be in the same stacking system. Therefore, either CX320 (1) and CX320 (2) or CX320 (3) and CX320 (4) must be configured in stack mode. The two ports connected to the same MZ520, and the two uplink ports for interconnecting the CX320s are configured as link aggregation in LACP mode. See Figure 5-20.
The configuration of each CX320 is as follows:
For details about how to configure stacking, see Configuring the 802.3ad Bonding Mode on the MZ520. You also need to set the mode of the port connected to the MZ520 to LACP. The configuration is as follows:
[HUAWEI]interface Eth-Trunk 1 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk1]trunkport 10GE2/1/1 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk1]trunkport 10GE3/1/1 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk1]mode lacp-static [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk1]undo local-preference disable [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk1]port link-type access [HUAWEI]interface Eth-Trunk 2 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk2]trunkport 10GE2/2/1 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk2]trunkport 10GE3/2/1 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk2]mode lacp-static [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk2]undo local-preference disable [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk2]port link-type access [HUAWEI]vlan 10 [HUAWEI-vlan10]port Eth-Trunk 1 [HUAWEI]vlan 20 [HUAWEI-vlan20]port Eth-Trunk 2 [HUAWEI]interface Eth-Trunk 3 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk3]trunkport 10GE2/17/1 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk3]trunkport 10GE3/17/1 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk3]mode lacp-static [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk3]undo local-preference disable [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk3]port link-type trunk [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk3]port trunk allow-pass vlan 10 [HUAWEI-Eth-Trunk3]port trunk allow-pass vlan 20
The LACP mode achieves equivalent link aggregation effects to the 802.3ad mode.
