Configuring VLAN filter

Family Firmware supports the VLAN filter function from version 7.14.15.

Configuring VLAN Filter in SF Mode

When the following screen is displayed, press F11 to enter the Front Page screen.

On the Front Page screen, select Device Manager and press Enter.

On the Device Manager screen, select Network Device List and press Enter.

Select a port and press Enter. On the displayed screen, press Enter again to confirm the selection.

On the Main Configuration Page screen, select Multi-Function Mode, press Enter, and select SF to enable SF.

Select Device Hardware Configuration Menu and press Enter.

Select QINQ Configuration and press Enter.

On the QINQ Configuration screen, select QINQ VLAN Mode, press Enter, and select FILTERING to enable FILTERING.

Select VLAN ID(1…4094) and press Enter, and set the VLAN ID. For example, to set the VLAN ID to 100, enter 100 and press Enter.

The value range of VLAN ID is 1 to 4094.

Select VLAN id pool and press Enter, and set VLAN id pool. For example, to set VLAN id pool to 100 to 200 and 500, enter 100-200 500 and press Enter.
- The total number of VLAN IDs for each chip cannot exceed 256.
- You can enter a number or a number segment for VLAN id pool, for example, 100-200 500.
- If VLAN id pool is not specified, the port does not receive packets.

Press Esc repeatedly until the Front Page screen is displayed.
Restart the compute node for the configuration to take effect.

Setting VLAN Filter in NPAR Mode

When the following screen is displayed, press F11 to enter the Front Page screen.

On the Main Configuration Page screen, select Multi-Function Mode, press Enter, and select NPAR to enable NPAR.

Select 1st Partition VLAN ID(1…4094) and press Enter, and set the VLAN ID. For example, to set the VLAN ID to 100, enter 100 and press Enter.

The value range of 1st Partition VLAN ID is 1 to 4094.

Repeat 9 and 10 to set 2nd Partition VLAN ID(1…4094), 3rd Partition VLAN ID(1…4094), 4th Partition VLAN ID(1…4094) and the related VLAN id pool.
Press Esc repeatedly until the Front Page screen is displayed.
Restart the compute node for the configuration to take effect.
