Configuring SR-IOV in Windows
To configure SR-IOV in Windows Server 2012 R2, perform the following steps:
You have enabled SR-IOV in the QLogic BIOS. In Windows Server 2012 R2 that has chipset drivers installed, install NIC drivers, open Device Manager, and check whether the drivers for SR-IOV are installed properly, as shown in Figure 4-253.
- Install Hyper-V, log in to Windows Server 2012 R2, and open Server Manager. Choose Manage > Add Roles and Features.Figure 4-254 Server Manager

- In the displayed window, click Add Features.Figure 4-259 Adding features (1)

- In the Features area, select .NET Framework 4.5 Feature (2 of 7 installed) and click Next.Figure 4-261 Selecting features
- In the Hyper-V window, click Next.Figure 4-262 Hyper-V

- Select Allow this server to send and receive live migrations of virtual machines and click Next.Figure 4-264 Virtual Machine Migration
- In the Default Stores window, click Next.Figure 4-265 Default Stores
- In the Confirm installation selections window, click Install.Figure 4-266 Confirm installation selections
- Hyper-V has been installed, as shown in Figure 4-267. Click Close to restart the system for the settings to take effect. After the restart is complete, go to the system and open Server Manager. You can see that Hyper-V has been installed, as shown in Figure 4-268.
- On Server Manager, open Hyper-V Manager, right-click it, and choose Virtual Switch Manager.Figure 4-269 Hyper-V Manager

- Enter 57810_v1 in the Name text box, select Enable single-root I/O virtualization (SR-IOV), and click Apply. In the displayed window, click yes and then click OK.Figure 4-271 Associating a network port
- After the configuration is complete, check that the network port (Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapter) is displayed on Device Manager.Figure 4-272 Viewing the virtual switch
