Configuring SAN Boot
You can configure SAN Boot in the QLogic BIOS.
To configure SAN Boot, perform the following steps:
- Start the MZ522, and press Ctrl+S to enter the QLogic BIOS when the message shown in Figure 4-29 is displayed.

- Choose MBA Configuration and set Boot Protocol to FCoE.Figure 4-31 Setting the boot protocol to FCoE
- Choose FCoE Boot Configuration > General Parameters. On the displayed screen shown in Figure 3 Enabling FCoE SAN Boot, set Boot to FCoE Target to Enabled.Figure 4-32 Enabling FCoE SAN Boot
- Choose FCoE Boot Configuration > Target Information.
- The boot device setting screen is displayed.Figure 4-33 Boot device setting screen
Set Connect to Enabled, enter the WWPN of the remote storage port, and set Boot LUN.
