Licensing Requirements

For SPR-capable devices, their licensing requirements for the SPR function are as follows:

  • AR100&AR120 series: SPR is not under license control.

  • AR150&AR160&AR200&AR1200&AR2200&AR3200&AR3600 series: By default, SPR cannot be used on the router. To use SPR, apply for and purchase one the following licenses from the Huawei local office.
    • AR150&AR160&AR200 series: AR150&AR160&AR200 data value-added service package

    • AR1200 series: AR1200 data value-added service package.

    • AR2200 series: AR2200 data value-added service package.

    • AR3200 series: AR3200 data value-added service package.

    • AR3600 series: AR3600 data value-added service package.

Feature Limitations

  • When policy-based routing references an ACL, the matching rules are as follows:

    • When permit is used in the ACL rule, the system executes the behavior specified in the local PBR for the packets matching the ACL rule. When the behavior is permit, the system enforces the policy on the packets matching the rule. When the behavior is deny, the system searches routes for the packets according to the destination addresses.

    • If packets match no ACL rule, the system searches routes for the packets according to the destination addresses.

    • When deny is used in the ACL rule or the ACL does not contain rules, the local PBR referencing the ACL does not take effect, and the system searches routes for the packets according to the destination addresses.

  • When the redirect enhance enable command is not configured, SPR is supported only in equal-cost routing scenarios.
