Configuring a Mesh Group on an NBMA Network
You can configure a mesh group on an NBMA network to prevent repeated LSP flooding from causing bandwidth waste.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
- Run isis mesh-group { mesh-group-number | mesh-blocked }
The interface is added to a mesh group.
When mesh-blocked is configured on an interface, the interface is blocked and cannot flood LSPs outside. All the interfaces added to a mesh group implement global LSDB synchronization through CSNP and PSNP mechanisms.
Verifying the Configuration
You can configure a mesh group on an NBMA network to prevent repeated LSP flooding from causing bandwidth waste.Run the following commands to check IS-IS process statistics.
- display isis statistics [ updated-lsp [ history ] ] [ level-1 | level-2 | level-1-2 ] [ process-id | vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]
- display isis process-id statistics [ [ [ updated-lsp [ history ] ] [ level-1 | level-2 | level-1-2 ] ] | packet ]
