Possible Causes

The PD did not comply with 802.3af or 802.3at standards.

Procedure

  • Replace the PD with a 802.3af or 802.3at-compliant PD.
  • Run the poe legacy enable port port-num command to enable compatibility check so that a PoE midspan can detect and provide power for the PDs incompliant with 802.3af or 802.3at.

    NOTE:

    It is not recommended to provide power for the PDs incompliant with 802.3af or 802.3at.
