When users are connected through an L3VPN and each packet that CEs send to PEs carries one VLAN tag, configure a Dot1q termination sub-interface and connect it to the L3VPN.

Pre-configuration Tasks

Before configuring a Dot1q termination sub-interface and connecting it to an L3VPN, complete the following tasks:
  • Connecting devices correctly
  • Configuring VLANs to which CEs belong and basic Layer 2 forwarding so that each packet sent from CEs to PEs carries one VLAN tag
