Pre-configuration Tasks

After CAR is configured on an interface in the outbound direction, the device limits the rate of outgoing packets on the interface. Traffic policing does not increase the delay.

Before configuring interface-based traffic policing, complete the following task:
  • Configure traffic policy nesting.
