Configuring an RMEP

Context

In the same MA, the MEPs of other devices are RMEPs of the local device. By configuring an RMEP, you can perform connectivity fault detection between the MEP and RMEP in one MA. To detect the connectivity between a device and an RMEP, you need to create the RMEP first.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run cfm md md-name

    The MD view is displayed.

  3. Run ma ma-name

    The MA view is displayed.

  4. Run remote-mep mep-id mep-id [ mac mac-address ]

    An RMEP is created.

Follow-up Procedure

  • To create multiple RMEPs in an MA, repeat step 4.

  • To create RMEPs in multiple MAs, repeat step 3 to step 4.

  • To create multiple RMEPs in multiple MDs, repeat step 2 and step 4.
