AR and Fit AP Version Mapping
ARs support the Fat AP and AC working modes, which are applicable to different scenarios.
The Fat AP mode of ARs is recommended in SOHO scenarios such as home and SMB. In this mode, an AR serves as a Fat AP to independently provide WLAN access services to users. For the network architecture, see Fat AP Architecture.
The WLAN AC mode of ARs is recommended in large venues such as waiting halls and stadiums. In this mode, an AR serves as a WLAN AC and connects to downlink Fit APs to provide WLAN access services to users. For the network architecture, see AC + Fit AP Architecture.
